SARAH JANE SMITH is a Sunshine Coast photographer specialising in family portraits (children, babies, maternity). She also covers weddings, events and corporate projects.

Having studied and worked in the photography and graphic design industry for the past 20 years, Sarah has honed her creative skills into an individual style that reflects her passion for photography and also the subjects within them. She strongly believes that it is not simply about taking a photograph, but creating an image to capture the real essence and personality of her subject.

Sarah draws upon her traditional developing techniques to enhance a digital workflow and production process. For inspiration she looks to past masters such as Ansel Adams for his work’s great tonal qualities to Impressionist painters such as Monet for their atmospheric and emotional interpretations.

Having traveled around the world over the past 16 years Sarah also brings with her a collection of beautiful, uplifting images crafted from real-life experiences and influences. These can be viewed in her Landscapes Gallery.
